Barrie moved to the Tampa Bay area when she was 6 years old. She studied Business Administration at UCF and USF. Barrie is a mother of two amazing people. Rachel is 16 and attends Palm Harbor University High School. She is a member of the Cheer Squad and a tried and true Girl Scout.
Matthew is 21 and is currently a senior at USF studying psychology He will be taking his summer semester in London.
Barrie was a team member at BayCare for 11 years. Most recently she was the Business Admin for the Mease Countryside’s Wound Care facility. While this was a very rewarding career the stress of time away from family and Covid caused Barrie to reaccess her priorities and happiness.
Taking what was meant to be a temporary position at Freedom Boat Club of Tampa Bay changed everything for Barrie. While grateful for the road that brought her to Freedom, she now truly enjoys every day helping others find their Freedom on the water.

With 33 current locations and 7 different types of boats, there is truly something for everyone and every occasion. Whether it is picnicking on the barrier islands off of Tarpon Springs, cruising the intercoastal waterway near Clearwater or fishing Bahia Reef off of Ruskin, Freedom Boat Club has some of the most beautiful locations for members to boat.
