Debbie Cobb, Park Manager of Suncoast Primate Sanctuary, has a lifetime of experience taking care of exotic animals. The Sanctuary, originally established by her grandparents in the 1950s, provided Debbie with an opportunity to help abandoned and injured animals from a very young age. Over 50 years later, with a degree in nursing and a lifetime of helping animals, Debbie is still caring for over 120 animals at the Suncoast Sanctuary, and still friends with Sheila the chimpanzee, who just celebrated her 75th birthday! The Suncoast Primate Sanctuary is the only refuge for in Pinellas where unwanted exotic pets can live out their life in safety and comfort, and relies on the generosity of volunteers, donors and the community to operate day to day. Debbie donates her time to All the animal, children, senior and homeless programs at spsfi and in the
community.
